What a year 2016 was!

My physical therapy practice is happily flourishing at my office in Boston’s Back Bay. I’ve had the pleasure of helping men and women optimize their pelvic and orthopedic health in the comfort of my cozy office.

This year was full of teaching. In Boston, I taught at Simmons College and Bay State College, introducing upcoming therapists to the treatment methodologies of pelvic floor dysfunction. This year also marked the start of teaching Pelvic Floor Level One (Herman & Wallace) to men and women across the United States. I traveled twice to teach my course for rehab professionals, Yoga for Pelvic Pain.

This year was full of professional dance and theater opportunities, ranging from performing in Sweet Charity to being the assistant choreographer/director for a production of Carousel. The days where I hung up my physical therapist brain, picked up my LaDuca dance shoes, and taught musical theater jazz at Boston Conservatory were nourishing to my spirit. I am thankful that I can keep a foot in each world.

The day I brought my pelvic model to the theatre and did a photo shoot. The cast loved the anatomy lesson!

My meditation practice highlight was getting to meet one of my favorite teachers, Tara Brach. I attended workshops at Omega Institute and Kripalu, my spiritual refuge. I look forward to another in-person teaching with her in 2017.

What are my goals for 2017?

  • Taking time for meditation, which makes me a more centered clinician and woman.
  • Remembering to pause for a few breaths before reacting.
  • Living in gratitude for the freedom and creativity this beautiful country allows me, thankful for the men and women who sacrificed to create the space for us to enjoy.

Wishing you, your family, and loved ones the best for 2017!
