About Dustienne Miller

Dustienne graduated with a physical therapy degree from the Sage Colleges in 1999 and then made a “pivot turn” to pursue her love of musical theatre in New York. After a transformative summer studying at The Ailey School, she danced professionally for several years, most notably with the national tour of Fosse.

Her journey took an exciting turn when she joined Physioarts, blending her deep-rooted love for dance with her expertise in physical therapy. She worked backstage at several Broadway productions and the iconic Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Dustienne's path is a testament to the joyous reward of following your heart and combining diverse passions into a fulfilling career.

Transitioning from the bustling streets of NYC to the serene hills of Sonoma County, CA, Dustienne established her clinical practice in Santa Rosa in 2012, magnetized there by the region's natural beauty. During this time she earned an advanced board certification in women’s health. Realizing the west coast felt too far away from her family, she relocated to Boston and started her clinical practice Flourish Physical Therapy in Boston’s Back Bay.

Dustienne's holistic approach to care incorporates yoga, mindfulness, and breathwork into her practice, fueled by her certification from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Her pioneering work in integrating yoga with pelvic health therapy gained acclaim, notably through her workshop "Yoga for Pelvic Pain" at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting first offered in 2013.

Inspired by the enthusiastic response, Dustienne developed her own continuing education course, "Yoga for Pelvic Pain”, offered through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She passionately educates and mentors practitioners worldwide, advocating for a holistic model of care in treating pelvic health issues.

Beyond her clinical endeavors, Dustienne remains deeply rooted in the theatre world. She serves as an assistant professor of theatre dance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and collaborates as an associate choreographer/director at Reagle Music Theatre supporting her friend Rachel Bertone (winning best choreography for their production of Oklahoma!)

Dustienne Miller's journey exemplifies the power of blending passion with expertise, forging new paths in both healthcare and the arts. Her goal is to inspire people to live their best lives, offering hope and healing through her innovative approach to pelvic health.
